How to Achieve a Smokey Eye

During the party season, a classic smokey eye is absolutely essential. Discover how to achieve a smokey eye quickly and easily with our simple steps below. Using some of our fave makeup products from benefit, you can re-create this look to enhance your eyes with ease.

How to Achieve a Smokey Eye

Step 1:

Start by priming your lids with the benefit Stay Don’t Stray Primer. Apply a small amount onto your lids, then blend over your entire eye area with your finger. This will prevent your shadow from creasing or fading for a freshly-applied look all day (or night) long! It’s also enriched with vitamins C and E, caring for the skin for a more even, radiant base.

Step 2:

Once the primer has dried, take the benefit Big Beautiful Eyes Palette and begin adding shading. Start with a lighter colour, then blend a darker shade into the crease and outer corners of your eyes. These super-pigmented shades perfectly define your eyes to enhance your look.

Step 3:

Now it’s time for the smoke! Using the benefit BADgal Liner in Black, line the waterline and beneath the lower lashes. Next, smudge it out using the blending sponge attached to create the smokey effect. This waterproof liner stays put so you don’t need to worry about going from perfect to panda during your night out!

Step 4:

Finally, using the benefit BADgal Lash Mascara, coat your eyelashes by curling them upwards with the wand. Creating a false-lash effect, this innovative mascara helps keep your natural lashes strong and healthy, whilst allowing you to boast gorgeous, thick and fluttery lashes effortlessly.
