So much better than expected!
I bought this assuming it'd be more fun/quirky than quality. Wrong! I love it. The texture is fairly thin and lightweight-feeling, and the finish is quite matte and relatively transfer-resistant, but it doesn't feel drying. Wear time is good (a few hours, as expected for a matte), leaves behind a bit of stain when wiped off, and it can be reapplied without getting crunky and gross. The actual color does apply in sort of streaks and swirls that blend together softly (doesn't leave hard "stripes") -- on me, it ranges from a cool bright magenta to a more purple-y violet shade, which, I imagine the precise hues and lip-placement thereof will change as the bullet wears down. The scent is floral-fruity, light and tart, not overly sweet or cloying. The only strike against it (for me) is the case : for something you're going to carry around in your bag, the thin brittle (and finger-print magnet) shiny black plastic doesn't inspire confidence about its durability against cracking or the lid popping off, plus I feel like such a cool lipstick from such a "fancy" brand really deserves a nice sturdy metal case.
