I use the White Hot Lustre Mask as a deep conditioner once a week. I leave it on my hair for about 10 minutes.
The mask itself is a thick, soft purple-colored cream. The container is quite small, and my natural inclination was to scoop out a huge glob, which I did the first time, nearly taking out one-fourth of the total product! The next time I was more judicious & turns out, you really don't need much of the Lustre Mask to be useful. But even with my shoulder length bob hair (fine, but a lot of it), I suspect I'll use up the container after 6 uses. 8 if I really mind the amount I scoop out.
I recommend smearing a bit of the product on your palms then running through your hair, then use a wide-toothed comb to ensure even distribution. A little can go a long way after you comb it through.
Do I see a huge difference in texture or appearance after using the Lustre Mask? Sorta kinda. My hair seems a little bit more bouncy and softer to the touch. Is it necessary for my hair? No, but I do enjoy the once a week extra pampering. Will I buy it again? Probably, but only on sale. I do think folks with coarser and dryer hair would benefit from this mask though. So yes, I would recommend only as a nicety, not a necessity.
