Beauty Works hair extensions from HQHair

This week, we caught up with hair extension experts Beauty Works to find out their top tips for keeping your hair extensions lush! We compiled a list of our most asked questions and took to Twitter to quiz the girls on the best way to care for our extensions. Take a look at the Q&A below!

We wondered how often we should wash our Beauty Works extensions, and the girls told us to wash our extensions twice a week for professional methods, or as and when you need to for clip-in pieces, but it’s all dependent on how often you wear them. We love to keep our long extensions for nights out to add volume and length!

Here at HQhair, we love trying out new styling products and switching up our style each day. We asked the girls at Beauty Works if it’s okay to use heat styling and styling products on our extensions. They said they recommend the Beauty Works Heat Protection Spray and Argan Serum to keep your extensions nourished! As for heat styling, the Beauty Works girls said that their Remy extensions can be heated and styled just like your own hair, however they don’t advise applying heat in excess of 180 degrees.

The final question we had for Beauty Works was how to store our hair extensions when we aren’t wearing them – the last thing we want is to find them tangled and knotted when we want to have lush hair extensions ready to go when we need them! They advised keeping them out of direct sunlight and to clip them to a coat hanger to keep them tangle free! After we’d gathered all of these tips and advice, we thought it was only fair to offer you the chance to win a set of Beauty Works hair extensions for yourself…

A winner will be chosen on Monday 20th July, so make sure you’re following HQhair and Beauty Works, and retweet the tweet above to win!!

I'm a sucker for anything quirky or in fancy packaging. I love trying new beauty products on the market - the more obscure the better! Whether it's the latest innovation in skincare, or a shampoo in a shiny bottle, I want it and I'll always try and be the first to blog about it! My cocktail of choice is a bottle of gin. That counts, right?
