This is my 2nd ghd purchase in several years and I'd never consider another straightener. My hair is always left straight and shiny with very little to no damage. I have quite fine hair and am able to achieve perfect straightening within 10 minutes or so, and it also creates lovely curls in quite a short time!

I have been using my last pair of GHD's for the last seven years and they have been fantastic. However they finally packed in the other day, so I bought this ghd IV Styler. The first thing I noticed was how poor the build quality is compared to my last pair. These feel like they will fall apart at any given moment. Then there's the straightening. These barely grip the hair at all, giving minimal straightening and they snag the ends every time. I've only used these for a couple of weeks but I'll be binning them and buying a pair of Cloud 9s instead.

The ghd IV Styler is the best straightener I've tried. It really makes the hair straight and very shiny. You feel that the straightener is 'kind' to the hair, which for me is a big bonus.

GHD hair straighteners... oh the joy of this wonderous hair tool transforming my crazy frizbomb into delightful curls or sumptiously straight... the options are endless. Seriously though this is the best ceramic hair iron I have come across, my hair is notoriously badly behaved but the trusty GHD's ensure that the styles I want can bre created and last all day. Great price from HQHair and delivered in 2 days, absolutely perfect. If you are ordering any treats this Christmas makesure its a GHD IV styler from HQHair, you wont be disappointed!
disappointing
I have used GHDs since they came on the market. When my trusty wide plates died on me I bought this IV Styler. I thought I'd go for the original thinner ones as they were cheaper, and you can do the curling styles with them. Sadly they are just not as hot, and that completely changes how effective they are on my hair. They might be fine for people with fine hair, but not mine. I have to go over and over the same section, and even then it is still frizzy, not straight. The only reason this gets two stars and not one is that the new ones have a feature where they switch themselves off if left on for too long.

Okay, ghd iv styler feels a bit different from my previous ghd, and looked at the label and saw they are now manufactured somewhere else, however still authentic! Now my hair is bleached blonde and I find the 230 degree heat a bit too trying on my hair but does do its job perfectly in straightening and curling.

I had the other brand of hair straightener before ghd, and I think there is no brand could beat the ghd IV Styler! You can use it to straighten or curl your hair, really easy! Absolutely love it!

I can't live without the ghd IV Styler, it is easy to use, fast and the result is simply beautiful. You'll need time to make the curls. Perfect for frizzy hair like mine.
I've used GHD straighteners for years and my old ones had finally given up the ghost (at least 6 years old). I simply wanted a replacement and when the special offer came up for this set almost identical to my originals, I didn't hesitate. I wouldn't use any other straighteners and I would recommend these to anyone.

I bought these to replace my old (non ghd) straighteners that just weren't able to straighten my thick unruly locks. I bought them at the same time as an ghd hair dryer in determined effort to control my hair. They are much better than my old pair! They heat up quickly, and glide through my hair easily. Once done, my style lasts until the next wash. I'm glad I bit the bullet and went for ghd.

Before I bought it I didn't realise that hair straightening can be that easy. I had 3 different straighteners before I decide to try GHD. I will never go back to other brands. GHD is quick, it's heating up within blink of eye, it's hassle free and my hair looks so great. I LOVE IT. Treat your hair as you would like to be treated.

Bought these to replace my old ones from 8/9 years ago. whilst they do the trick, the unit is not as sturdy as the old one, it feels lighter and cheaper, and the finish of my hair is not the same...that said they do straighten my hair and the new functionality, auto-alert when ready, shorter time to heat up and auto-turn off if not used within 30 mins are all good. I am also finding ghd very helpful as they have offered to repair/replace my new ones if i try them again and am not fully satisfied
GHD straighteners are the best make by far. HQ hair had them cheaper than anywhere else. Great service with tracking to locate your parcel at all times.

I bought my first GHD's 12 years ago and recently replaced them with the new stylers. An excellent product, glides through hair smoothly and gives an amazing sleek appearance.

I had a pair of GHDs which broke over 18 months ago, I bought two cheaper replacements and can honestly say that neither were as good as ghds. Aware of the damage straightening can do to your hair, with GHDs I find the health of my hair doesn't deteriorate and lasts until the next time I wash my hair.

Quick heat!
I've held off for years buying GHD's as i couldn't understand what the hype was about. After all, hair straighteners are mostly the same aren't they?& £100+ was a lot to pay! These stylers were cheaper when using a voucher code so i decided to give them a go & to be honest i am more impressed than what i thought i would be! The heat up time is literally seconds & i find that i run them through my hair less as the high temperature does the job of straightening quicker. Also, with the heat protection spray i got free with them, i am definitely a convert!
