Good but weak for unruly hair

Kerastase Elixir Ultime is a very good product however I have found it's left me with fly-aways which is really weird for my hair which is very thick and frizzy. The Elvive version works better on mine so will get that next time.

Not good

I was very disappointed with this product. I much prefer the Oleo Relax serum - cheaper and better for my fine and dry hair. The Elixir Ultime weights my hair down and I don't like the scent.

Nice smell, results in soft, shiny hair - that is straight and flat. For me is a con because I like it loose and wavy.

Kerastase Elixir Ultime 125ml

I love Kerastase Elixir Ultime, starting with its scent. With a little give for all hair and why I have many. Not greasy at all and the hair is left with a very nice sheen. I also used to control frizz.

One use of Kerastase Elixir Ultime and I was hooked! This serum/oil is amazing! I have and will repurchase this even at its very high price because it is excellent and is far better then any other serum I have tried. If you have fine hair, you only need one squirt, but more if your hair is very dense or very frizzy. Rub it over your palms and spread over the lengths and ends of your hair. The scent sticks around for a good few hours and is a lovely. This product left my hair feeling like silk and reduced all frizz, added a beautiful shine and just got everything bang on!

Excellent

Kerastase Elixir Ultime really makes your hair smooth and shiny. It's not as oily as it looks. After applying it to your hair the oil would dramatically disappear and you can use it on wet and dry hair. The pump is also really good.

I have probably tried every serum available but I keep coming back to Kerastase because it does what it should do.

This product is amazing!

This Kerastase Elixir Ultime is a really great product. I was concerned that it might make my hair oily but just a couple of drops prior to shampooing has made it really silky and shiny. It feels great. I would highly recommnend it.

Pure Luxury

I love Kerastase Elixir Ultime, my thick hair absorbs it all when I apply it and after I've blow dryed, my hair is luxuriously smooth and silky, would definitely recommend.

Don't go anywhere without it

Kerastase Elixir Ultime gives my hair a wonderful finish and leaves it feeling incredibly soft. Hides a wealth of sins caused by over-styling, sun damage etc highly recommend.

I have used this product for a year now and makes my hair manageable, soft and shiny. I have not been tempted to buy similar products as Ultime does exactly as it says.

Wish I had stuck with what I know!

I have used the Oleo Relax oil for several years now which has always suited my hair and leaves it feeling like silk and as though I have just been to the hairdressers. However, I thought I would try this product for a change, which is nearly double the price. I have fine hair but lots of it, very Jenifer Aniston so use it quite sparingly. The Elixir Ultime left my hair feeling coated and sticky to the touch and the perfume is very strong but not unbearable. It was the feel of my hair that was not pleasant and I couldn't wait to wash it out, so the lesson here is this: stick to what you know works and don't waste your money! I will go back to the Oleo Relax again....

A Must Have!

My curls were dry and didn't really sparkle as they do on so many other women. But after this piece of wonderful Haircare, my hair is now, PRETTY AGAIN! I use it as a leave in for a day, and when I wash it 24hours after, it is light, curly and full of life. TRY IT OUT!

I was so looking forward to trying this with its great reviews and reputation - but on my thick, frizz-prone dark hair, Moroccan Oil and curl cream work much better ,,,

Pleasantly surprised

I had read good reviews of this product in magazines etc but when I got it and tried it I wondered how on earth two pumps of oil could make a difference to my hair. Frankly, I was amazed. Due to years of colouring and recent hormonal changes my hair is not at its best. Left to its own devices it goes a bit dry and frizzy and lacks volume. I tried the oil straight away when I got it, i.e. onto dry hair and it soaked in and didn't leave my hair greasy. Then I used it overnight before I washed it and for good measure put it on after shampooing. I never blow-dry my hair and I was amazed how it dried - really smooth and with a great, sleek texture. Next time I washed my hair I did the same thing and put it on overnight. However, this time I had to go out in the morning and didn't have a chance to wash my hair and I was amazed to find that in the morning my hair was looking decent enough for me to go out without styling it. When I got home I washed it and put the oil on again and once more, it dried really smooth and sleek and looked great the next day. I've used many deep-conditioning treatments that have worked in that I can feel the difference; this is the first product I've used where I can actually SEE the difference. I am so glad I bought this. I would also say that it is really easy to use and simple to wash out so it doesn't add loads of time or complicated stages to your hairwash routine.

Best Hair Product Ever!

I love Kerastase Elixir Ultime! It makes my hair feel like silk after a blow-dry and I feel like I've been to the hairdressers every time I use it! I cant live without it now!

Meh...

I've had this elixir for just 2 weeks, and it's too soon for an honest review. Anyway... For the online hype of this product have, I probably had too high expectations. I've read that the elixir smells great... I kindly disagree. :-) It's a strong perfume (luckily doesn't stay long), too strong for a hair product! This perfume stays on my hair, and doubt that is good for the hair! Is a little bit thick, honestly I prefer liquid texture, but otherwise, if well dosed doesn't leave "heavy" hair. Considering the cost, I suspect I've imagined to have salon-like hair once I'm done with my hair style, but i definitely don't. At the moment it's a "meh" product!

Is good for used everyday, but I don't like smell of it.

Softest hair

Loving this product ! I put it in the night before i wash my hair and sleep with it. When i wash my hair the next day it's wonderfully silky. My hair is long and thick with a reasonably coarse texture.

Keratase Elixir Ultime

Was not sure how to use this product so I researched it on the internet. Best for me was on my hair before I washed it. It left my hair leaving great after the shampoo - thoroughly recommended.

I prefer the Oleo-relax serum

I seem to be a lone voice here but I was a little disappointed with this. It just didn't add the moisture and softness of the Oleo-relax serum. Admittedly, my hair is very dry, very frizzy and straightened so maybe the Oleo-relax range is more suitable. I'm a bit disappointed as this was meant to be a treat that would give me the locks of Rapunzel. I'm sure it's great stuff, being Kerastase, but it just didn't do it for me.

Liquid Gold Gorgeousness!

I got this before Easter and I was quite excited to use it. Before this I used another cult hair oil which did not quite live up to my expectations and it was dearer. Even the packaging of Kerastase Elixir Ultime feels luxurious as you unwrap the crinkly cellophane and open the shiny box, there is a bottle of liquid gold waiting for you. The hair oil is light and colourless, it does not feel viscous when you dispense it. It has a similar but lighter consistency to almond oil. The oil has a tropical scent and someone thought I was wearing perfume when they hugged me. However it does not have an overpowering scent, only when someone is close to you or if your hair is long enough for you to smell yourself! Kerastase Elixir Ultime is everything I wanted it to be. I have long, thick, brown hair and I have to wash it everyday to keep that 'fresh, bouncy feeling.' While using this product I do not have to wash my hair the next day as it does not weigh my hair down and it does not smell like 'old hair.' Amazingly it has eliminated my 'frizzyness' and leaves me with manageable, silky hair. I would thoroughly recommend this product and I would purchase it again via HQ Hair as you get a discount. I hope you all enjoy it like I have.

Brilliant for frizzy hair

I've been using this product for about a year now and it's made a huge difference to my hair. I apply it to wet hair and it makes it soft and much more manageable. I have much less frizz even when I let it dry naturally and my hair feels silky soft. It can also be used before shampoo to really rid hair of any build up. It's expensive but it lasts for ages as you only need a little bit - I've only just started my 2nd bottle. Highly recommended.

kerastase Elixir ultime

I read up about this first as my hair has been hacked to death and I am trying to grow it out without hacking at it myself. I read other reviews from people who said they also used it for the same reason. It is expensive but buying it from HQhair I save myself several pounds so thought would give it a try. I have been using it for only a couple of weeks and my hair does seem to be improving in texture and the hacked look is looking smoother which was the hope. I am hoping that with continual use the improvement will continue. The product smells nice and though an oil does not feel greasy like other products can. I am looking forward to more special offers from HQ hair and I can treat myself and keep using this product as my hair is also fine and fly away and it has helped with this and can be applied without it looking like you have pored a chip pan over your hair!!

Excellent Elixir!

This is one of the best multi-functional products I have! When it first came out I was eager to try it and so I bought it on HQ Hair and fell in love with it right away. I use it before washing my hair, after washing/before blow drying and later for a shiny finish. It always improves my hair even when its looking dull and lifeless. And the smell is amazing!!

Brilliant product

The best for taming unruly hair. I have a keratin blow dry but still need to add that extra 'something'. This is that something. The best by far.

Better than expected

When I bought this product, I thought it was similar to other oils I have tried. It is, only better. I use it after every shower when my hair is wet, and through the day my hair feels healthy and like silk. I actually had serveral comments about my hair lately, saying my hair looks more healthy than ever. I love this oil and it is one of my "must-have-at-all-times" products!

Smells brilliant, feels lightweight oil i have been using this for a month and i absolutely love it. I would recommend this to all. I am trying to grow my hair and have refused to cut it and it makes the ends look long silky and smooth like i said loving it.
