Brilliantly bright...yet subtle if that's possible. You can dab it on for day with a little lip balm for a subtle flash or lash it on for night for a dramatic statement. I have pale skin and this works for me. Only downside I would say is that it's master stroke of mattness is its downfall too. The powdery quality is the thing I love about it but if your lips are dry to begin with it quickly shows. Moisturise before you put it on and this is solved. A small task to undertake for an expensive looking quality colour pop.

great lipstick - I love the texture as it's matte without being drying, and will definitely be trying it in another colour. Only gripe was that the colour on me was not exactly like the swatches/images I'd found on Google. I highly recommend.

Matte but not drying
I've been looking for a matte lipstick to do undressed lip in nude, and as I absolutely love Nars lipsticks decided to try their new Pure Matte in Madere. The texture is lovely and not drying at all, stays put well too. The only minor problem is it is a tiny bit lighter in colour than I would want it to, but I just use a lip pencil before applying this lip colour. I'm thinking of buying this product in different colour. Highly recommended.

Definitely a must-buy!
I bought Valparaiso and it's just terrific!I'm shocked! It's a matte lipstick but it goes on the lips oh so smoothly without drying them. The colour payoff is amazing,it's long-lasting and scent-free....,totally worth the money. Thank you Hq and Nars!

Very durable, won't wear off- but won't dry the lips too. one of my HGs! I recommend the Vesuvio for thise who want real warm red.

It is a really decent matte lipstick. It is not drying for my lips and stays for at least 3 hours. The color is nice for my nc 30 skin

Great matte lipstick
If you are looking for a matte lipstick that doesn´t dry out your lips this is it. It is completely matte but feels nice on the lips and the colour payoff is great, specially the darker colours. Montego Bay is an incredible colour for spring and sunny days and Volga is the perfect colour for a night out. Love them. They work best if you have your lips in good conditions before putting them on.

Moisturising, highly pigmented, easy application.
This is a gorgous lip stick! However, it is not for those who like classical shades as this range is quite bold. Yet I tend not to have too bold lips since I'm quite young but applying a dab on your finger (Vesuvio great colour) and patting it onto the lips is a safe way to get a sheer tint! This is a lovely lip stick, I cannot rave enough about it. Best things about it: Bold colour Highly Pigmented Easy to apply Non-drying
