Backstage with Lord & Berry at LFW Teatum Jones AW17

Today marked the launch of the week that every fashion lover has circled in their diaries for months in advance: London Fashion Week. Of course, the girls at HQhair were super excited. Not only does LFW mean that we get to catch a sneak peek at the hottest designer’s AW17 fashion collections, but it also means that we get to lust over the latest beauty and hair trends. Eek!

This year, we were lucky enough to get invited to the Teatum Jones show by the mega babes at Lord & Berry. Obviously, straight after the show we rushed to the nearest Starbucks, grabbed ourselves a Caramel Mocha Frappuccino and drafted out this blog post so that our HQgals would be the first to hear about it!

So, first of all, 2017 is going to be all about the brows. Big and fluffy brows are going to be everything this year, so don’t worry if you’ve got a few stray brow hairs here and there – basically, it means that you’re bang on trend! You know what the best part is? This brow trend is super easy. Simply sweep your eyebrows with Lord & Berry’s Glacee Eyebrow Gel Fixer and you’re pretty much good to go! If you want a bit more definition, then you can add some of Lord & Berry’s Magic Brow to the sparser areas of your eyebrows.

We also learnt that “no makeup” makeup is the way forward. Steering away from the strong contour craze of 2016, Lord & Berry opted for a more subtle look with super natural, dewy skin. To recreate this dreamy base, simply use Lord & Berry’s Luminizer Highlighter Concealer to cover blemishes or dark circles and then highlight any desired areas. Yep, that’s right; you can achieve this look with simply one product! *Adds to basket*.

The models’ looks were then completed with straight, sleeked back hair. If you want to trial this style for yourself then all that you will have to do is simply straighten your hair with ghd’s IV styler, brush into the desired shape with a Tangle Angel then fix into place with Sexy Hair’s Style Hard Up Holding Gel… And voila! You have runway worthy hair.

So, what did we learn from our time at London Fashion Week? Barely there makeup is going to be big in 2017. Although we always hold a place in our hearts for crazy colours and lashings of glitter, we are definitely going to be embracing our more natural selves this year. If this means that we can get out of bed a little later in the mornings, then we are definitely game!

Will you be trying out these trends Let us know over on Twitter & Instagram!
