#HQBeautyHacks : How to do Winged Eyeliner

May the wings of your eyeliner forever be even. We all know it isn’t that simple though. Winged eyeliner has been a thing since the days of Cleopatra, and was believed to ward off the ‘evil eye’. It made it’s way into Hollywood in the ’50s with the likes of Bridgette Bardot and Sophia Loren lining their eyes with sharp wings. It’s a trend that has been around for a very long time, and we definitely don’t see it going anywhere any time soon.

How to do Winged Eyeliner

So, how do we get these wings looking perfect? We know the struggle is real when it comes to getting those cat eyes looking even, straight, and strong, which is why we took to the studio with Charmie as part of our #HQBeautyHacks video series to show your our top tips on how to do winged eyeliner.

Step 1: Get some card to guide you

Grab yourself a piece of card, credit card, or something else thin, but sturdy enough to draw against, and place it against your lower lashline, pointing it diagonally up towards your brow.

Step 2: Line the rest of your eye

Starting from the inner corner of your eye, line the rest of your eye outwards to meet the flick you just created. Voila!
