Sometimes, you just gotta do an updo. Whether you’re running late or are purposely opting for a slick back Kardashian style ponytail, we all need to go for the updo every once in a while. The struggle becomes real though, when you have flyaways you don’t want. You know the ones. Those annoying little baby hairs that just will not stay down, no matter how much hairspray you use. Well, we have the answer. Take a look at our super simple beauty hack for how to tame flyaways!
How to Tame Flyaways
We took to the studio with insta-babe Charmie Jane to tackle those dreaded flyaways once and for all, and it’s actually super easy.
Step 1: Get Your Updo In Place
First things first, get your updo in place. Whether it’s a high ponytail, a bun, or an intricate braid, secure it in place.
Step 2: Tame Time!
Grab yourself a toothbrush (go and buy a new one just for this, trust us, you’ll be calling it your ‘hair toothbrush’ in no time). Spray your toothbrush with some hairspray, and use it to gently comb your flyaways into your hair
Step 3: Fix It
Finally, give your hair a quick spritz of hairspray to fix everything into place.
Which Hairspray Should I Use?
It’s worth investing in a good hairspray. Everyone has their favourites, but take a look at some of our top picks below:
