So, when everyone’s favourite fictional vampire Nina Dobrev, revealed her hair care secrets – we were beyond excited! It turns out the 28 year-old’s hair isn’t just a win on the genetic lottery but instead, is down to this one game-changing product from a much-loved high-street brand…
Speaking to InStyle, Nina said “I’m very anal about my hair. When I first got my job on [The Vampire Diaries], my mom told me, ‘We know they need your hair for today, but you need it for life. You can’t let them sizzle it off.”
And how right Mother Dobrev is! Which is why Nina takes extra care of her locks – especially when filming. To protect her hair from all the heating, styling and blow-drying that happens on set, Nina has developed a full-proof routine that will be sure to maintain her beautiful tresses.
Her trick? Washing her hair three times a week and adding in one of two mask treatments on every third wash. Alternating between a keratin treatment or a Argan-infused hair mask, Dobrev explained “It’s been a dream of mine to be a L’Oreal or Pantene girl. That’s why I’m keeping it healthy – and long – until they ask me. That’s my incentive.”
Sometimes I put the hair mask on and a shower cap and drive like that to work.
