5I have used ghd straighteners for the last three years and when they broke, I was devastated especially as it was a bank holiday weekend! No other straighteners were ever able to smooth my hair like ghds so I ordered another pair! After having 3 days of frizzy uncontrollable hair, I was delighted to have my hair back in smooth and beautiful condition, within minutes! 5The GHD gold series is an excellent buy. It just glides over my hair and leaves it as smooth as silk. The finish is near salon perfection. Even though it does not have multiple heat settings, one doesn't really miss that option. The one setting that's available works just fine for me though my hair isn't very thick.

5I might say that my opinion is not fool proof since my experience with hair straighteners is limited. But tghd really lives to its reputation! ghd Gold Classic Styler heats up in a second and does a great job straightening while not damaging hair! A great buy!

4This is my second hair straightener. My first was a Babyliss and I did not manage to do some nice curls, the Babyliss did not glide through the hair. This GHD feels professional. The heating goes very fast. It is quiet hard to learn how to do the perfect curls with this straightener but I hope to learn the technique some day! I noticed that it is easier to do curls on other peoples hair than your own. I have to practice. And I hope this styler will last forever!
