#HQGirlCrush: Gwen Stefani

The stunning Gwen Stefani had to possess a space in our #HQGirlCrush series! Her bubbly personality is brimming with self-confidence and she is undoubtedly a flawlessly significant role model for girls all over the map. With her quirky courageous outfits and sassy make up techniques, Gwen is the ultimate style icon for some cheeky inspiration.

So, who is Gwen Stefani?

Formerly known as ex front woman of band ‘No Doubt’, Gwen decided a solo career was the route for her to pursue and reach stardom unaccompanied. Her tracks are audaciously catchy, perfect examples being ‘The Sweet Escape’ and ‘Hollaback Girl’.

Not only has she secured a high position in the charts on numerous occasions; she also has her own clothing range ‘L.A.M.B.’ which she is continuously trying to grow and was a coach on Season 7 of ‘The Voice’. What can this superstar diva not do?!

Harajuku Girls

Back in 2004, Gwen Stefani underwent a Japanese culture phase aiming to show her appreciation for the quirky fun styles represented; resulting in her 4 adorable Japanese back up dancers becoming her entourage for public appearances. She referred to them as Love, Angel, Music and Baby due to the name of her first album and she even created a clothing range ‘Harajuku Mini’, for children. Last year Gwen’s Harajuku phase seemed to spring back to the surface announcing that she will be creating an animated series on the girls names ‘Kuukuu Harajuku’ so Harajuku fans…keep your eyes peeled!

Casually Chic//MOCA Gala

Showcasing her signature look at the MOCA Gala, Gwen Stefani managed to nail it with her glossy red lips and cute messy bun. This look is simple yet sophisticated with a little definition around the eyes and very light foundation for a clean complexion. Get the look with a swipe of Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Ultra Lipstick in Melon and smudge on some Bellapierre Cosmetics Eye Liner Pencil in Black. Cute and Curly//Tree of life

Gwen Stefani took a slightly different approach to her usual glamourous image and switched it up for the ‘Tree of Life’ Premiere. With a sultry smoky eye, fuchsia lip gloss and luscious curly locks, Gwen made a spectacular statement in style. Achieve the ravishing ringlets by styling with Keracare Natural Textures Twist and Define Cream and accomplish the sexy smoky eye by using the Rimmel Glam Eyes Quad Eye Shadow in Smokey Brown.

Sleek Up Do//Costume Institute Gala

The final Gwen Stefani look we adore was flaunted at the Costume Institute Gala whilst she modelled a dress of her own design from L.A.M.B. Her polished appearance became complete with her carefully coiffed hair in a sleek gorgeous up do. To recreate this look, backcomb your hair for added volume and hold the style with Paul Mitchell Hair Spray. Glam up those eyes with a cute thin flick of RMK Ingenious Liquid Eye Liner.
