Beautiful lip pencil
5I love the velvet matte lip pencils of Nars. Last summer I bought the more orange color but now - for this autumn and the coming winter I bought the color Dragon Girl. I love this color for this time of the year and it fits very good with my Nars blush "Seduction". I was very disappointed that the Dragon Girl color was out of stock when I would buy extra pencils. I hope this color will be in store again.

Different!
4I now have this in Dolce Vita and Sex Machine. I like both but sex machine is my favourite. It's a kind of mauvey mid pink, not too bright but not too light either. It makes my lips look fuller and lasts ages through eating, drinking etc and doesn't start to look bitty on the lips like some lipsticks after a while. I would definitely recommend.

Dragon Girl - Lovely color
4I have been wanting this colour for a while now. It is a lovely bright red, very flattering. I find the pigmentation not as great as I hoped for - for decent coverage, you need to put on at least two layers. I also don't love the smell. I don't regret buying it, it is a nice addition to my collection of red lipsticks, but i am not sure if I would buy it again.

Great colours that last for hours!
5I have recently bought my third Velvet Matte Lip Pencil and am utterly hooked! They work as a combination of lipliner and lipstick, and the colour lasts for a very long time. If, however, you have dry lips like me, you'll have to apply some lipgloss on top - no big problem, since Nars makes glosses in the same colours. My latest buy was the colour "Tender Night", which is great for summer when you need less make-up.

Nars Train Bleu lip pencil
5Considering this is the third Nars Velvet Matte lip pencil I own (alongside Damned and Cruella), you would think buying it wouldn't have required the long time it has, but the research payoff has been extraordinary. This is a great product; I was unsure at first because of the really deep and dark colour which I thought might be a problem on my slightly uneven lips, but I'm happy to say I was completely wrong on that account. While the colour is deep, intense and dark, the pencil format and the matte formula make sure there's little to no bleeding even without primers-powders-lip contouring. I also want to add that the finish is wonderfully matte and velvety but didn't dry my lips out at all, despite them being rather on the dry side, and I also didn't notice any patches-stains on my lip. As per the other pencils of the line, application is very easy as the pencil glides on smoothly and leaving a rich, even layer of colour which is still build-able, once dried. All in all, once again a top quality lip product from Nars.

Not bad
4I tried this Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil on a friends recommendation. I really wanted to love this pencil and I did like it but found it quite drying being a girl who's used to wearing lip gloss. The colour which I purchased was Dolce Vita which is a lovely brown/ red colour and really is pretty and quite different. I will wear this lip pencil.

4I picked up a couple different reds that are a bit of a softer shade and would gladly buy more Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil - great colours, coverage and super easy to apply.

Nars velvet lip pencil
5The Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil is gorgeous! The finish is matte but not dry and the colour is very pigmented. The formula is also very soft and creamy for a matte lipstick and it stains your lips about 6 or 7 hours, even if you're eating and drinking! It's a great product, I'm definitely going to buy more.

Pretty perfect red
5If you find it hard to wear matte lipsticks try Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil. It is easy to apply and comfortable to wear. I have it in a Dragongirl shade which is pretty much a perfect cherry red. Love!

My favourite lip product of all times
5Nars Matte lip Pencils are my favourite lip products of all time due to their magnificient colours ant staying power. My favourites are Dragin Girl (the perfect cherry red) and Dolce Vita (a marvellous nude) and I could not live without them. They are easy to apply and I only wish they would not need to be sharpened.
